On Monday May 14, 2012, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phramaha Hansa Dhammahaso, Asst. to the Rector Academic Affairs led Secretariat teams of every section who are the staff/team- work from Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, consisting of : Location, Public Relations, Welfare, Meeting Organization, Nursing and Broadcast Live Sections, to have a bilateral meeting with the staff of UNCC, Rajdamnoen Rd. to prepare for the organizing of the Celebration of the World Vesak at UN Conference Hall on Saturday, June 2, 2012.
In addition, the every-year arranging of the celebration at the UN Conference Hall on Rajdamnoen Rd. is proceeded from the 54th General UN Assembly Meeting Session in December, 1999 designating Vesak Day as the United Nations Day and setting for the activities to be organized on that day at the head quarters and their branches worldwide in May-June of every year. Therefore, Thailand by Sangha Council, the government and the people are mutually organizing such activities for the Celebration on the mentioned Day.
